How does the “X-ray visible” technology actually work?
We weave a specialized, medical-grade radiopaque fiber directly into the cotton of our socks. Unlike standard thread, which allows X-rays to pass right through it, our thread is dense enough to be captured on a digital or film X-ray, appearing as a distinct, glowing pattern that vets can easily identify.
Is the material safe for my pet if they… well, eat it?
Absolutely. Safety is our entire reason for existing. The radiopaque minerals used in our thread are non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and permanently bonded to the fiber. They are designed to pass through the digestive system just like any other fabric—only now, your vet can see exactly where it is.
Will the X-ray property wash away over time?
No. This isn’t a coating or a dye that sits on top of the fabric. The visibility is a physical property of the thread itself. You can wash, dry, and wear your Radiant Undergarments for years, and they will remain just as visible on a scan as they were on day one.
Does my vet need special equipment to see the thread?
Nope! Any standard X-ray machine found in a typical veterinary clinic will pick up the Radiant thread. Because the thread creates a specific geometric pattern, it’s easy for a vet to distinguish it from biological matter or other “mystery” objects in the stomach.
Can these socks prevent surgery?
While we can’t prevent a pet’s “creative” eating habits, our goal is to prevent unnecessary surgery. By showing the vet exactly where the object is and how it’s moving, they can make a better-informed decision on whether the item will pass naturally or if intervention is truly required.
